Got Your Back Sista, in partnership with nib, held a half-time campaign activation on 12th July 2019. The purpose was to engage the Newcastle community to stand against domestic violence and encourage people experiencing violence to reach out and ask for help.
A giant banner with the words, ‘We say NO to domestic violence’ was carried onto the field and representatives from nib, the Knights and GYBS each spoke of the importance of the community standing against DV. The MC then asked the crowd some questions about DV which they answered YES or NO with the hand banners they were given.
