Project 3: Maitland Shelter August 2018
Here are our wonderful volunteers who gave their time to help us at Got Your Back Sista put together a 5 bedroom women’s shelter in the Maitland area! Thanks also to all the wonderful people and businesses who donated furniture, linen, TVs, bar fridges, books, toys and more to make this shelter into a lovely place to stay for some of the most vulnerable women and children in our community!
It really does take a Village to care for others in our community and we are so grateful to our GYBS community. Now the shelter is set-up and ready to house people, the wonderful organisation Carrie’s Place Domestic Violence and Homelessness Services Inc. will manage the running of the house.[/fusion_builder_column]
