May is Domestic Violence Prevention Month

News

This Domestic Violence Prevention Month Got Your Back Sista is educating the community about respectful relationships and domestic violence.

Calling all mums and daughters, join us for our upcoming educational workshop as we talk about respectful relationships and unmask and discuss the signs of domestic violence.

Hearing from our very own Got Your Back Sista case workers, Ros and Joey, this workshop will provide guidance on what a healthy v’s unhealthy relationship looks like; how to recognise the signs of potentially abusive relationships; the different types of domestic violence; and how you can respond if you suspect you or someone you know is in an abusive relationship.

When:   Wednesday 3rd May, 6 pm – 9pm

Where:  The Edwards, 148 Parry St, Newcastle West

Tickets: $10 per person – including finger food

RSVP:    Monday 24th April
